Inspection Policy
After the permit is approved, the contractor must schedule the required inspections. To request an inspection, please email permitting [at] newfiarview.org (permitting[at]newfiarview[dot]org) . All inspection requests must be made through the city office. Inspections MAY NOT be scheduled directly with the building inspector. Requests for inspections that are requested by 4pm will be scheduled for the the next day. Inspections that do not meet the requirements will be issued with a red tag and a re-inspection fee of $100 will be required. A green tag left at the construction site indicates approval.
All licensed Contractors must register with the city. There is a registration fee of $100 and is valid for twelve months from the date of application.
The City has adopted the 2018 International Residential Code, the 2015 International Energy Code, the amendments, and regulations to implement the authority granted by subchapters 212 and 214 of Chapter 214 of the Texas Local Government Code.
